My first DT card for the Scrapbook Stamp Society

Hi All
When Heather ask me to be on the DT for the challenge blog I was really surprised and I am really pleased to been asked.  A few details about me might help, I live in North Yorkshire in the UK and have been crafting in some way since I was small which was rather a long time ago.  I started stamping about 15 years ago and I am now well into digi stamps such fun to work with, so I shall enjoy my projects for the Scrapbook stamp Society.

As Linda said in her post the challenge is pretty in pink which is fun as I don’t often use those colours, the image I have used is Lil Sweetie My Kitty digi Stamps by Sherri Baldy found here.

I used pro markers to colour the image the skin was ivory, vanilla, and blush.  The hair and cats were done in cool grey 1 which I used in several layers.  The dress antique pink, dusky pink and blossom.

The card is a double Dutch card, as seen on Splitcoast stampers you need a piece of 4 3/16 by 9 inch card which you score at 5 ½ inches.
You then need a piece 2 by 8 ½ inch card stock scored at 2 1/8 and 6 3/8 so it folds like a gate fold card.  You adhere this smaller piece to the back at the bottom of the other piece card and decorate as you choose.
I used the same card stock and to make some texture I embossed through the big shot with a Swiss dots folder.  The paper is a little from my scraps box it is more pink than it looks in the picture.
You adhere the image only to the fold down flap which means you can put the images above or below the Dutch doors at the bottom.
Hope the card provided some inspiration
Really looking forward to seeing your entries and commenting on them.
Thank you so much for looking at my card please feel free to ask any questions.
My Blog is here
Hugs to you all
