Birthday Fairy just a little late

I Have a story  to tell about this card.  I had a friend over and she was looking through my box of cards,  She saw one she wanted to buy for her daughter.. told her know she could not have that one.. that one does not not look like your daughter..  It was a blond hair, blue eyed fairy...   I told her I would make a card for her black haired.. brown eyed... darker complected daughter.
This is the card.. I have been playing with round easel cards.. getting better but still needs work.. my dies are from theSpellbinder... and this is from their large sets of circles.. the ones I never planned to buy because they were way too expensive.. well I bought two sets... I most likely will never use the largest dies....... Anyway my image is a Sherri Baldy besties image .. She has so many I could not find the link for this one.. I colored her with copic markers... added  flowers from wild orchid and of course some bling... the directions on the round easel card can be found on split coast

a little distressing

Today at Scrapbook stamp society the challenge is to distress the card.. I choose an image  which is number img177.. I just felt she would be a fun image it distress. I started by tearing the paper around the image.. I always like this look for distressed images.. then I used direct to paper technique with my new color box inks... I used some blue and terra-cotta. then I added some Memory box dies and some flowers from Wild Orchid. and of course come bling.. cause on card is complete with out it .. unless it is for the guys....
make sure you join us at Scrapbook stamp society challenge blog and show us your distress.

thanks

Lolita Besties Valentine

Hi Friends,
Sandy here with my first Scrapbook Stamp Society DT creation for you! The card I created is for my mother for Mother's Day. I know a little early, but better than late!  My mother is a huge fan of all the My Besties images so I know she will love it! Hope you do to, so here it is....

I went with a Twisted Easel Card as my base. The coloring was all done with Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits. I then finished the card with all the fun embellishments ie: gold shimmer ribbon, gold Viva Pearl Pen, paper roses, embossing, Stickles, fancy punches and of course a Happy Mother's Day sentiment!

Here is a close up of this wonderful image. You can find this digital stamp and many, many more at the Scrapbook Stamp Society store.

If you would like to purchase this digital stamp, please click on the image below
Thank you for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Wee Winged Little Sister Besties

Aw...

  aren't we just too,

         TOO
                 sweet?

      and too cute?

             and OH SO darling?

Aren't we?

Introducing Sherri Baldy's new creations

"Wee Winged Besties"

There are several images for this set - click here to view them all and get your daily dose of adorable-ness.

Each month, the design team at Scrapbook Stamp Society is given a challenge. This month, we are to create cards utilizing embellishments not commonly seen on cards. I was given this adorable image called Wee Winged Little Sister Besties.

It was then that I noticed Big Sister was actually posing in front of a mirror so she could admire her pretty little self,
and to make sure her perfect little wings were on straight and had just the right amount of glitter,
and that her tights were properly pulled up.
And... you know how big sisters are...

It was difficult keeping my reflection out of the "mirror" while photographing

The CD is both her mirror AND my uncommon embellishment for the card.

one more view of the "mirror" and these cuties.

Thanks for dropping by today! For details concerning the sentiments, construction and products used on this card, please visit my personal blog here.
