Hello Sailor!

Just look at this adorable little sailor!  Isn't he just the cutest thing for a fun birthday card. This fun digi comes from Sherri Baldy.  This stamp is the big eyed, big head bestie sailor boy.  He can be found in the shop here

I colored this cute little guy with my Prisma Colored Pencils.

I  created the sentiment using my Cameouing two different files that I merged together than did a print and cut. I also used foam pop dots to pop the sentiment up off the card.

Sunflower Tag

I hope this to be part of a larger project  I have in my thought process. I love this great digi, and thought it would make a wonderful fall project.  I am using img 830 for my project.  As I said, I hope this tag will be a smaller part of a larger project soon.

Winter Birthday Wishes

Hello everyone,  It is me again, here with another  great digi file from Sherri's store.  This is a card I made to send to our grand daughter for her birthday this week.  I know it is a holiday card, but it is to cute to not use for a cheerful happy little lady.

I love to color my digis with Photoshop, it makes the process very relaxing for me.  Designing my cards with my Silhouette is also very relaxing for me.  I am able to look at multiple different layouts before I finally decide on one to use.    I tried to create her with more neutral colors and less Christmas colors, other than the holly.

I had not yet decided what sentiment I was using when I took my picture.  I did leave it without embellishments because she is young and I do not want any choke hazards.

Warm Winter Wishes

For this holiday card, I used the Christmas Puppy digi file.  Colored her in traditional Christmas Colors, but chose non traditional colors for the rest of the card.  I topped the card off with pink and blue roses and a couple of sparkling snowflakes.

Deco Fluffy Bestie Tag

Hello Everyone, I am back today to share a new tag I recently made using the  Deco color pintable  Fluffy Bestie.   I have just recently started making tags and using other media in my artwork.  This is one of the fist tags I have made.
I made the tag using a cut pattern cameo, then adding my own pattern. I then sized the tag into three different sizes and layered them one over the top of the other using foam strips for support.  Because the image was precolored, I simply  cut it out with my cameo, and added a purple shadow behind her to help bring out the vibrant purples in her flowers.  I finished it off with some Clooney Lace that I sprayed with purple glimmer mist and some lovely roses and pearls.    The final touch was a nice ribbon with a bow and gold studded button center.   I hope you like it.

Birthday Bestie

Hello everyone,

Kimberly here today to share another fun bestie with you.  How can you not love these amazing creations by Sherri Baldy.    This week I decided to go way out into left field and try a few things out of my comfort zone.   Normally, I am pretty simple with my cards, but I needed one for a special birthday, so here I go, giving it my best  shot.

After I colored her with my Photoshop software, I put her into my Silhouette program and cut her out with this fun flourish.  I also cut out an over the same size as the middle.  After I got her cut out, I used that extra oval to  cover the center image, then used blue and yellow inks to add color to the white.  I didn't like the stark look of the bright white.

I added blue, yellow, and tiny pink roses along with some pearls to finish her off.  Then added the Happy Birthday sentiment on a ribbon slide.

You will find this beautiful image to add to your own collection in Sherri's Etsy Store here

Dream

I do not make tags often, because I feel they are always lopsided.  However, I decided this cute little image was perfect to make a fun little tag.

Colored with Photoshop, and cut out with my Cameo made the process even easier.  Add in some pretty lace (its a little hard to see when I laid it on the doily) sent to me by a friend and beautiful paper roses, and I think I finally have a tag I can be proud of.

Let's Tweet

Hello Friends!

Here is a fun, cute, and super clean and easy card for today.  What super cute little birds these are.  I can see so many different uses for these birds.  Today, thou, I chose clean and simple with just a few embellishments.

I colored the birds with my colored pencils. (a nice switch from the digital coloring I normally do), and added some highlights with my glitter gel pens (though, it is hard to see in the picture).  Finished it off with a bright blue bow and a small flower.  Like I said, clean and simple.

Be sure to check out all of the fun digital files Sheri has for you here

Enjoy!

Wishing You Well

I always love working with Sherri Baldy My Bestie images.  Aren't they just the greatest.   Today I share a card with you I made for a friend's mother who had a recent accident.  I hope she likes it as much as I liked creating it.

I colored the image using Photoshop and just used paper from my stash to complete the card.  The white paper is embossed with dark blue inked edges.  The blue and white paper used is actually one small corner of a 12 x 12 sheet.  I love double sided paper.

I debated for a long time whether or not I wanted to add flowers.  When mailing, I generally keep them plain and simple. However, this time, I wanted something a little fancier. So, I added flowers to match the flower she was sitting on and the paper.

I do hope she likes it!

Fluffy Frannie

Hello Again,

I am back again today to show you a card I designed using another one of Sherri's great digi files.  This file is called Fluffy Frannie and can be found here.  Frannie is from the new Fluffly Girls series that Sherri recently started drawing.  This image I got pre-colored.

The card is ready to go for a birthday, anniversary, or just because.  I can quickly add any sentiment requested.

The paper used was created from a back ground paper using my Silhouette application, then simply printed out.

Spring Has Sprung

This is the perfect image for me to use right now.  Img510 is an adorable young lady just perfect for spring.  The last few days have been so nice here, and the trees have started to bloom.   I have really enjoyed working with this Big Eyed Bestie as I enjoy the nice spring weather.

I colored the bestie using Photoshop.  I always struggle with this, but I always have a lot of fun.  In this case, I struggled getting the right colors.  Once I was happy with the coloring, I saved the image and imported it into my SIL software and traced her.  Once I had her traced, I added an offset and cut her out.   Believe it or not, matching the colors in the digi with papers I had was much easier than I had anticipated.  Made for a quick and easy card.  I complimented my card with with three tiny roses and three small strands of pearls.   The end result a nice spring card ready for a sentiment when needed.

I hope you enjoy!

Missed Your Birthday

Good Morning Everyone,

Today I am presenting a card to you that is one of my favorite images from Sherri Baldy.  I just love the grumpy look on this little lady's face.  I generally use this image when I need to make a get well card or a I missed your birthday.  The super cute little face shows just how unhappy I am when someone I love is ill or I miss their birthday.

As you know, I like fast and simple especially when it is a card that needs to be mailed.  Today is no different.   The one thing I don't like about my card, is I made the image to large, and you cannot see enough of my background papers.  I could have (and should have) made the second blue and brown layer smaller, then layered the cute image over it. allowing more of the paper to show.   This also means I did not have room for the pretty yellow bow that I planned on adding.  Oh well!

I hope you like my card!

Make sure you take a look at Scrapbook Stamp Society for other fun Prudence images.

Christmas Bestie

Hello Everyone,

today I am working on my Christmas Cards, and found this adorable Christmas Bestie worked great for one of the cards I wanted to send.

Today, I colored this bestie with red, pink, peach, and green Prisma Colored Pencils.  When I added the pink for her fur, I thought it was a little bold, so I added some peach color to help blend it down to a more reasonable color.

I had a specific thought process in mind when I started this card, but, as it often happens with me, my ideas are out of my talent.  I am close, but not what I originally wanted.

When I added the pink flowers, there was to much "brightness" for Christmas with that much pink, so with the help my of Best Friend, she suggested I add white ink to make the flowers look snowed on and lessen the bright pink.

I completed the card by adding a white ribbon with a silver and pearl button and thean a few falling snowflakes.

I hope you like it!

Bestie Boy ~ Sling Shot Boy

I love working with Sherri's Bestie's.  I've not done much with her Bestie Boys but I saw this one and knew I needed to do something with it.  How cute is he?

This cute little man was colored using my Prisma colored pencils, blended with Gamsol.  I also used my Micron pens to add a little bit of details in his hat, his shirt, and his cute little boots.

You can find the Bestie Sling Shot boy here.

Daisy's and Butterflies

Hello Everyone,

Today, I have a simple layout to share with you.  I normally do cards with my Besties, but I found this cool paper, and I knew I had to try something different.   This little daisy girl is one of my favorites, (though, to be honest, I love them all) and I have a perfect picture of one of my grand daughters that I will print and put on this page.

I hope you like it!

Sweet Little Bear

Hello all,

Today I have stepped way out of my comfort zone to play with the fun 3D Decoupage Bestie Bear.  I say way out of my comfort zone because I do not generally cut small objects with my scissors. Mostly because my hands don't allow me to hold on to scissors for very long. As such, I used my cameo to cut the bear and all her fun pieces.   Let me tell you, this was a process that took me nearly a full day to complete. However, I think it was well worth it.

Shy Big Headed Bestie

Look at this adorable Big Head Bestie.  You can find her by going here.  This card was inspired by Pinterst, then I added my own twist. I love the fern leaves, (cut with my Cameo) and the added paper flowers to match the flower in her hair.

Hope you like it!

Just Because . . .

There are times when you need a card to cheer someone up, or to quick drop a note in the mail to let them know you are thinking about them.  This fun image reminds me of Little Red Riding Hood as well as a little Southwestern Girl going to a dance.   I could not decide which while I was making her.

I think she is adorable with that serious little face.  Perfect for a "Just Because" card to send to a friend.

I accidentally printed her on the wrong side of the paper.  I printed her on the textured side.  Then I thought, wait, she looks like she is on canvas.  So, I didn't reprint her.

You can find this little cuttie in the Scrapbook Stamp Society Store.

Thanks for Looking,
Kimberly

Huggable Bestie Dancing Bear

How about a fun card with a Huggable Bestie Bear.  This image is just to cute to not have and create something fun.

Though I don't remember which colors, I used my copic markers to color this beautiful little dancer.  It is hard to tell in the picture, i have used my gel pens to add a little glitter to the dress of the dancer

I finished this card off by adding a 3-D bow with a nice pearl in the center.  The fun part is, this cute little bear is on an action wobble, so she really dances.  :-)
