Pattern paper cards

Hello there

Welcome back and hope you are following our blog here... This is DT Priyadarshini here

Because of my travels I couldn't post them earlier so I am posting both my cards together in one post.

I have these two beautiful doll images from My besties. I coloured the images and used pattern paper for the background of the card. I added some embellishments and sentiment to finish the card. Both the cards are top fold cards.

Do check out our digis---- Link to digis: MY BESTIES

I colored this cute little guy with my Prisma Colored Pencils.

I  created the sentiment using my Cameouing two different files that I merged together than did a print and cut. I also used foam pop dots to pop the sentiment up off the card.

Gypsy Rose Tea

How can you not just fall in love with Sherri Baldy's images.  Every time I see a new one come out, I want it right away.

Today I have a cute card that I worked up using the Gypsy Rose Tea digi.  A perfect little lady offering up a cup of perfect tea.   I colored this digi with my brand new copic markers, and learned a lot of valuable lessons while doing so.  One, is I need to write down which markers I used for the project so I can tell people what I did.   Live and Learn, right?!?!?

I embellished the cute image with tipped roses to match the colors in the dress and hat and added a little bow to tie it all together.

Here is my Gypsy Rose Tea card.

A Taste of The Orient.....

Hello lovelies, NICOLA here today with a project for you.

I have made a card today using a gorgeous image from Sherri Baldy which you can buy HERE I absolutely loved My Bestie Cherry Blossom Geisha as soon as I saw her. I wanted to colour her using reds and greys and tried to make her hair kinda black. Now colouring hair dark is not my best thing but I will keep trying to perfect this. You know what they say, practise makes perfect!

So, onto my card and then I will give you the list of colours I have used....here she is....

I have used Letraset Promarkers in shades:
Skin: Putty ~ Almond ~ Dusky Pink ~ Sunkissed Pink
Hair: Warm Grey 3 ~ Ice Grey 4 ~ Ice Grey 5 ~ Cool Grey 4 ~ Cool Grey 5 ~ Black
Clothes: Ice Grey 2 ~ Ice Grey 3 ~ Warm Grey 2 ~ Poppy ~ Crimson ~ Berry Red ~ Ruby ~ Forest Green ~ Warm Grey 1

I couldn't resist embellishing with these black flowers and the sparkly blossoms, I think they go really well with the colours of the image.

Don't forget we have a challenge which you can enter over at the

Bestie with Balloon

Good Morning,

I am so excited to be sharing with you today another wonderful digi stamp by Sherri Baldy.  I have fallen in love with digi stamps and coloring them.  I have a passion to learn all the different methods I can use to create them in the most beautiful manner.  This adorable digi was simply colored using my Crayola Colored Pencils then blended with Gamsol.

I am so ready for spring and some warmer temps, and I thought this little darling reminded me of a nice spring day and a walk in the park.

This adorable bestie with balloon, does not yet have a name, but you can still purchase her by clicking here.

I hope you enjoy her, I know I had a blast coloring her.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year, and may 2013 bring you much joy and happiness.

Today I have for you a quick card that I made using the Happy New Year digi from Sherri Baldy.  I love the Besties Big Head Dolls.  I do believe they are one of my favorites to color.

To color my digi, I simply used Crayola Colored Pencils and blended with Gamsol (an odorless mineral spirits).  I added a sentiment from Inkadinkado.  The paper I used for this card is from the Deja Blue stack from The Paper Studio.  The sparkling blue flower is from my sister in law, and unfortunately I do not know what brand it is.

Thanks for looking today, make sure you stop by The Scrapbook Stamp Society Facebook page and see other great cards from other design team members.

I know I am, I absolutely love Christmas it's a lovely time to be with family and also remember everyone we hold dear. I love giving my family their gifts and seeing their faces when they open them. I for one will be making sure everyone is up early to see if Santa has arrived! LOL

So, onto my project for today. I have made a Christmas card using Jingle Bears Digi Stamp by Sherri Baldy this is such a cute image. I chose to use a colour scheme of red and purple and add a bit of glitz and glamour too, so I have tried to make the Big Head Dolls face look like she is wearing eye shadow and lipstick!

To colour the image I have used Letraset Promarker's in the following shades:

Skin tone: Almond ~ Putty ~ Pale Pink ~ Antique Pink
Eyes: Pear Green ~ Winter Berry ~ Tea Green ~ Sakura Gelly Roll Pen Silver Star
Hair & Bear: Tan ~ Sandstone ~ Cocoa
Clothes, Sleigh & Tree: Pear Green ~ Winter Berry ~ Orchid ~ Lilac ~ Amethyst ~ Lavendar ~ Aubergine ~ Poppy ~ Berry Red ~ Crimson ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pens Clear Star, Silver Star, Purple Star and Rose Star.

Underneath the sleigh I have used Pinflair Snow Dust and I have added sparkly fibres to look like balls of tinsel.

I hope you like my project today, I love red & purple together.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year,

Have fun and lots of love

Sweet Like Candy...

Hello lovelies, Nicola here today with my project for today's design team post.

I have made a Christmas card for my Mum using a digi stamp by the fabulous Sherri Baldy

I absolutely love this digi, it is called "Sweet Candy Cane" and you can buy her HERE

I have chosen to go with traditional Christmas colours of red and green and I love using buttons so have added some of these on too for embellishment. I have also added a candy cane embellishment that I had and decorated with matching twine too. The greeting I typed out using my computer. Hope you like my card...

I have coloured the image using Letraset Promarker Pens in the following shades:

Skin Tone: Almond ~ Putty ~ Pale Pink
Eyes: Tea Green and also added a shimmer using a Sakura Gelly Roll Pen Clear Star
Hair: Tan ~ Sandstone ~ Cocoa
Clothes & Candy Cane: Poppy ~ Crimson ~ Cardinal Red ~ Pear Green ~ Olive Green
Outer Edge of Image: Warm Grey 1

The decorative paper I have used is some I already had in my crafty stash and I think it co-ordinates with the colours I've used perfectly.

Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to showing you my next project soon!

Merry Christmas Everyone,
lots of love

So Nice To Meet You

This cute image can be found here: http://scrapbookstampsociety.com/auction_details.php?name=Digi-Stand-Besties-Big-Head-Dolls--Nice-To-Met-You-Sherri-Baldy&auction_id=103939

I am so in love with the Big Head Doll images.  I just love their big eyes.
