And the Letter Is . . . .

Good Afternoon,

Today I have a fun project to share with you that I am working on.  I say working on because I ran out of some of the supplies and I need to get some more so I can finish it up, but I wanted to share it with you anyways.

I am working on a door plaque for my craft room door using the Sherri Baldy Stamps letter K Bestie.  Isn't she simply adorable.

Most of you know that my favorite color is pink, so that was just the logical color choice for me, and of course, you have to mix that with one of my favorite flowers, roses.  The paper is My Minds Eye. Of course no project would be complete without some bling and flowers. 

I colored this adorable Bestie with my Prisma Color Pencils, but this time I chose not to blend them with my gamsol, I just simply used a blending stump to blend the strokes.

I say she is not yet completed because I want to add some pretty ribbon (which I did not have any I liked) to hang it on my wall or door, then add more floral around the ribbon.  The top spot about the little girls hair needs more floral, but I don't want to add it until I get my ribbon and add the flowers with the ribbon.  I am also trying to decide if I want to mount her on some green before I mount her on the chip board.  What are your thoughts?  Does it need a bit of green to pull out the green in the flowers?

Wendy and Wags

Wow, it has been a while since I have played with colored pencils and these awesome wonderful Sherri Baldy Stamps digital images.  While coloring this cute little lady, I remembered how much I love to color and why I love Sherri Baldy Stamps so much.  For this cute simple card, I used the image called Wendy and Wags. 

I colored my image using Crayola Colored Pencils and blended with Gamsol.  I clearly need more practice to refine my skills, but considering it has been nearly a year since I have colored, I think I did pretty decent. 

My card is a 6.5 x 5 card base, covered a sheet of paper out of the Paper Studio Stone Washed paper Stack.  I really like that stack and I think it went well with the colors I used for Wendy and her pal Wags. I embellished my card with a “Puppy Love” sentiment I printed on my computer, then added two paper roses at the bottom. Fast, plain, and simple, yet pretty just the same.

Slick Ozzie Goes...

...back to school! Can you believe it? I'm barely getting into the swing of summer and all I see around me are back to school sales and commercials! I have a heap of great and grand nephews and nieces I could make back to school cards ... IF I knew them better. :-\ I tried that last year... but I had NO idea what grade they were going into so I didn't get very far with it.

Since I don't... I made this one just to prove to myself I could make one if I had to! lol Especially for a boy... masculine cards are hard for me. I always want to add glitter, flowers and frilly ribbon. :)

This time around, I made this one:

Swirly Bling

Swirly bling... I need me some of that. I wanted to make this card as purdy as I could and I feel if I'd had some swirly bling... I could have made it look so much prettier! ;)

The image is awesome! Nothing wrong there! I used image 725 Bestie by Sherri Baldy Stamps at Scrapbook Stamp Society. This adorable image doesn't have a name! She's got to go through life with a number branded on her forehead. :( 

Every month, it gets harder and harder to pick an image to work with. Sherri whips this cute girly images so fast, I cannot keep up... and... I want all of them! :-\ Every morning, I pinch myself. I cannot believe I get to craft with these images on a regular basis. :)

Sorry, I got on here so late in the day, but with me, it's always one thing or another! I should have Ema and her dilemma's branded across my forehead. I'd give anything for an uneventful day. ;) lol But then I might complain life is boring! :) lol

So here's today's card:

I used ribbon, doilies, rhinestones, flowers, tag, card stock and printed paper from my stash. I dabbed Stickles in Frosted Lace on the flowers for some shimmer. Things are so much prettier with shimmer. :) The July 4th stamp is from a stamp set in my collection and I colored the image with Copic markers.

Graduations!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I had graduations all around me recently. I found the most perfect girl graduate image for just about all these graduation cards! This is an absolutely ADORABLE image from Sherri Baldy Stamps and can be found at Scrapbook Stamp Society (SSS).

The more I play with the images at SSS, the more I fall in love with them! What's NOT to like about them? Adorable, cute, sweet and did I mention adorable? Just love these Besties TM! All supplies I used were from my stash and I colored the image with Copic markers.

Fashionista

Oo la la! This is the first thought that enters my head whenever I see this Sherry Baldy Stamps image. It's from Scrapbook Stamp Society and rightfully called, Fashionista!

Here is the card:

All card stock and printed paper is from my stash. I stamped the pink card stock with a Crafty Secrets clear stamp set. The flowers were a gift from a friend. I dabbed Stickles in Cotton Candy to the flowers to give them some shimmer. I also added Stickles in Star Dust on the petticoat of her dress.

Sweet Holly ~ Sherri Baldy Stamps

Hello again everyone, Kimberly here with another great image from Sherri Baldy Stamps.   This cute file called Sweet Holly was so much fun to color.  Yes, I know she is  kind of Christmas, but during the holidays I was a wee bit busy with a cross country move.  As such, some of my holiday images are just now getting colored and used.  Besides, when digi's are this darn cute, I think they should be used anytime you want to use them, and not just for a specific season.

I colored Sweet Holly with my new Copic Markers.  I don't have very many of them yet, so I am somewhat limited in what I can do.

Treasure Box

I'm totally on a Scrapbook Stamp Society roll,because I created a treasure box, using the same card kit "My Little Blessing".  It's amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it.  I love thinking outside the box, so for this project I did just that, I thought outside the box and created an awesome box.

The box is made out of chipboard, scor tape, hot glue, and to decorate K&Company designer paper.

It measures 6" x 8" and it fits just about any little treasure your heart desires.

Bestie with Balloon

Good Morning,

I am so excited to be sharing with you today another wonderful digi stamp by Sherri Baldy.  I have fallen in love with digi stamps and coloring them.  I have a passion to learn all the different methods I can use to create them in the most beautiful manner.  This adorable digi was simply colored using my Crayola Colored Pencils then blended with Gamsol.

I am so ready for spring and some warmer temps, and I thought this little darling reminded me of a nice spring day and a walk in the park.

Meet Bashful Bettie by Sherri Baldy

Bashful Bettie is as cute as she is bashful.  I had a blast coloring this beautiful digi by Sherri Baldy Stamps.  I love being on the Scrapbook Stamp Society Design Team, getting the opportunity to play with all of the wonderful digi's created by all of the wonderful artists.

I won Bashful Bettie in a name this digi contest, so please make sure you always add your ideas for a name when you see them posted.  You too could win a great digi.

I had a lot of fun with this image.  I knew when I first saw her that she needed to be pink. Of course, those of you who know me well, know that pink is my favorite color and I do a lot of my cards with pink tones.  However, being this bashful, I thought she needed a really pretty pink dress with lavender and yellow highlights.

Bashful Bettie as shy as can be wants to profess her love to her sweet heart.  So, after I colored her up using my Crayola Colored Pencils, I framed her first with a pink sheet of card stock, then layered that over a yellow.  both colors were intended to bring out the strips in the plaid card stock I used for the base.  I complemented Bashful Bettie with a bright pink bow to match her dress, a little bit of ivy to highlight the green in the plaid and the leaves on her dress then used a stick pin to hold the "I Love You" sentiment.  I topped the whole look off with three pink pearls in the bottom right hand corner.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year, and may 2013 bring you much joy and happiness.  

Today I have for you a quick card that I made using the Happy New Year digi from Sherri Baldy.  I love the Besties Big Head Dolls.  I do believe they are one of my favorites to color. 

To color my digi, I simply used Crayola Colored Pencils and blended with Gamsol (an odorless mineral spirits).  I added a sentiment from Inkadinkado.  The paper I used for this card is from the Deja Blue stack from The Paper Studio.  The sparkling blue flower is from my sister in law, and unfortunately I do not know what brand it is.
