Bestie Luau Card

Hello Besties! Today I want to share with you a Bestie Luau Card that I made.

To create my card I used this Adorable Hawaiian Luau Bestie Digi Stamp 038 by Sherri Baldy that you can find here:

To make my card first I printed off the  My Bestie digital stamp onto 110 lb. plain white card stock. I then drew in the outline for the sand, ocean, and sky around her with light pencil marks. Next I used Copics to color in the entire scene and Bestie digital stamp. I then used white acrylic paint and a small brush to stipple in the foam and spray coming from the ocean waves hitting the sand. To finish my coloring I used a white paint pen to add a few highlights and dots to create some added interest.

Next for my card base I just folded over some patterned card stock and trimmed it to the perfect size to fit my coloring. I also cut a coordinating mat from patterned card stock about 1/4" wider than my colored scene. I attached all of the layers to my card base with an artist tape gun. To finish I added a bow, rhinestone and some flowers for some extra embellishment.

Thank you for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful day! I hope that my project inspires you to try out your own beach themed Bestie card.  DT Mindy

My Besties: Flower Hat Girl Valentine's Day Card

Hello everyone! Its my day on Scrapbook Stamp Society Blog. I have this Valentines Day card to share with you!

I created this with a My Besties Digital Stamp! You can purchase the stamp here in the My Besties Shop. This image is named flower hat girl.

I colored this with Copic Markers.

Skin Tone: E00, E11, E21
Eyes: B00, B02, YG03
Reds: R35, R37, R59

I don't have any Dark Greys so I used Copic Black 100 and I used Frost to lightly give off shadows.

Used a bit of Cool Greys to shadow my doll. C1, C2

More details were added with a Signo White Gel pen, Copic Black multiliner and peebles chalk in pink.

I fussy cut my Gorgeous Doll with scissors and attached it to a card base.

I added a flower, I have no idea where its from. I used some stickles on my dolls dress and the flower for extra dimension and sparkle.

Thanks for stopping over today. I hope that you are enjoying this day! :)

Missed Your Birthday

Good Morning Everyone,

Today I am presenting a card to you that is one of my favorite images from Sherri Baldy.  I just love the grumpy look on this little lady's face.  I generally use this image when I need to make a get well card or a I missed your birthday.  The super cute little face shows just how unhappy I am when someone I love is ill or I miss their birthday.

As you know, I like fast and simple especially when it is a card that needs to be mailed.  Today is no different.   The one thing I don't like about my card, is I made the image to large, and you cannot see enough of my background papers.  I could have (and should have) made the second blue and brown layer smaller, then layered the cute image over it. allowing more of the paper to show.   This also means I did not have room for the pretty yellow bow that I planned on adding.  Oh well!

I hope you like my card!

Make sure you take a look at Scrapbook Stamp Society for other fun Prudence images.

Dress Up

Today is my day to post up on the wonderful My Besties Design Team Blog.  Today I have completed something so much different than I normally do.  Generally, I just do cards, but with the holidays coming up, I wanted to try something different. So I made this adorable little lady into a cute french fry box.

She is colored up using my Copic Markers, then embellished using flowers at her feet and the top right hand corner of the box.  I added a nice bow, and a pretty pearl button to finish off the look.

This box will be perfect to cheer someone up with a couple of homemade cookies added.

You can find this adorable bestie and more at the Scrapbook Stamp Society Store.

Fancy Pants Call Me

Call Me . . . another one of  the adorable besties (Fancy Pants Call Me)  in the Bestie Collection. I have to also say this one of my favorite cards as well.  I am really pleased with the colors used and the awesome papers I found to match her super cute yellow and orange outfit.   I have not had much opportunity to work with burlap, and when my friend had this great orange burlap I could not pass up using it. Add a nice orange and yellow flower with a pearl center, and you have a completed card.

I would love for you to stop by my blog and let me know what you think.

Birthday Fairy just a little late

I Have a story  to tell about this card.  I had a friend over and she was looking through my box of cards,  She saw one she wanted to buy for her daughter.. told her know she could not have that one.. that one does not not look like your daughter..  It was a blond hair, blue eyed fairy...   I told her I would make a card for her black haired.. brown eyed... darker complected daughter.
This is the card.. I have been playing with round easel cards.. getting better but still needs work.. my dies are from theSpellbinder... and this is from their large sets of circles.. the ones I never planned to buy because they were way too expensive.. well I bought two sets... I most likely will never use the largest dies....... Anyway my image is a Sherri Baldy besties image .. She has so many I could not find the link for this one.. I colored her with copic markers... added  flowers from wild orchid and of course some bling... the directions on the round easel card can be found on split coast

Tea Time

Today I am playing with a round twisted Easel card, made with a Besties  image drawn by Sherri Baldy.  I choose the image called Tea Time..  Just because it is too darn cute for words.. I colored her with copic markers and used spellbinders dies to cut her out.  the I also used a technique called out of the die.. the teal die ti a swirl die from Cottage cuts.. sure to be a new favorite.
Then I added some flowers from Wild orchid.. this is my first twisted easel round card I have done..

Birthday Wishes

Kimberly here with a bright fun birthday card.  This is just the cutest image and just screamed to be made into a young girls birthday card, so I had to use bright colors.

To make this cute card, I first colored the image using my Photoshop program then I printed it out.  I used my cameo to cut her out, and add the scalloped edge.  I add lavender pearls and a sentiment, which I also cut out on my cameo and I have a card ready for any young lady.

Chase Your Dreams

Here is a fun card to share with you today.

As you know, I like fast and simple and this one is pretty much just that. I used a fun image from the store and colored it with my favorite Prisma Colored Pencils.

Once I colored this cutie, I used my Spellbinder die and cut her out.  When I did this, I also cut off some of the cup that she is sitting on while day dreaming.

I embellished the card with a cream colored rose tipped in color matching ink and then a nice line of matching pearls.
